Boston Dynamics has announced Tidy, a fully autonomous commercial cleaning robot designed for airports, convention centers, and shopping malls. The robot combines the company's proven mobility platform with advanced perception systems to navigate complex, crowded environments while performing sweeping, mopping, and waste collection tasks.

Tidy operates for up to 12 hours on a single charge and can cover 50,000 square feet per shift. It automatically returns to its docking station for recharging and waste bin emptying. An integrated fleet management dashboard allows facility managers to monitor multiple units in real time.

Pricing starts at $4,200 per month on a three-year lease, which Boston Dynamics says is approximately 40% less than the cost of equivalent human cleaning staff for comparable coverage areas during overnight shifts.
